Do I love you for the right reasons,
or is it just your reputation
that has me so infatuated?
If you weren't what you are,
if you were simply you
would your smile still ease my mind?

I've set you on a pedestal
and I'd do anything for you,
to hear your laugh,
to see your smile,
to hear you speak,
to look into your eyes.
And still I wonder,
do I love you for the right reasons?
