Lying wide-eyed in the dark
Why am I not asleep?
The mask on the desk grows bloodshot eyes
The little noises that insects make
As they crawl across the walls
Fills the room
I can’t breathe
The stench of the grinning corpse in the bed next to me
Is unbearable, suffocating
The sweat rolling down my skin
Feels like ants on my skin
I can’t move
I’m bound by my own flesh
I’m screaming through lips sewn shut
This madness
This terror
It’s eating me up from the inside
