Questions (For a Hero)

Verse 1 How can you die But live on forever How do you show That you aren't scared How to you hold our world On your shoulders When i see you I see a hero standing there Verse 2 Why don't you run And escape the torture Why don't you leave That world behind Why do you take all the pain That isn't yours to hold inside When i think of you, A hero's on my mind Verse 3 What if i said I'd follow your footsteps What if i'm sure It should have been me instead What if i can't Get what you stood for, out of my head It kills me to remember My greatest hero's dead Verse 4 Where do you find All the answers Where can you see True sacrifice Where do i go to ask All thesse questions on my mind When i remember your face There was a hero in your eyes Chorus Why do we lose, Why do we let Our hearts forget Everything you've ever done. All our battles that you've won Why don't we stop Why don't we share How much we care About you and where you stand But we can't understand It's a cause worht giving more Help me remember why; you died For a cause worth fighting Fore Closer I stand alone, where you lie forever I stand alone, can't say goodbye They say i'm just like you Except i know i'm too scared to die

This is about my cousin, who died about a week before i was born. A lot of people say I'm so much like he was, and i always wanted to ask him so many questions.

He was a Marine

This goes out to all in the Armed Forces.
