It wasn't his voice
Though it was heavenly
It wasn't the roles he performed
Though they were beautiful
It wasn't his humor
Though it always cheered me
It wasn't his leadership
Though it was impressive
It wasn't his dedication
Though I always admired it
It wasn't his charm
Though I envied it
It wasn't even his loyalty
Though I coveted it.

I loved him for his soul.
