People often ask me, why I live the life I live.
Why is it that to God my soul I choose to give.
I answer them proudly, with my spirits lifted high.
Jesus Christ my Savior, He’s the reason why.
He gave his life at Calvary, to save both you and me.
The price how very great it was, still Jesus paid the fee.
They hung Him on cross, and pierced Him in His side.
So that we could live, my Jesus chose to die.
Still just when people thought, they had seen the end.
My Jesus in all His glory, He came back again.
And you ask me why I give my life,
It’s cause it is not mine to keep.
It’s been bought by God with the blood of Christ,
So what choice is left for me.
I can live my life down here on Earth and be just who I am. or
I can live for God while I’m here, and live again in the promise land.
You make your choice, but mines been made.
I choose my mansion over a fiery grave.
The task is very simple, it’s impossible to fail.
You give your life to Jesus, and you save yourself from hell.
So you can ask me each and every day,
but my story will remain the same.
Cause if my name’s erased from the book of life,
I’ve only me to blame. So see while.
People often ask me, why I live the life I live.
Why is it that to God my soul I choose to give.
I answer them proudly, with my spirits lifted high.
Jesus Christ my Savior, He’s the reason why.
Jesus Christ my Savior, He’s the reason why.
