There's something out there for me, but it isn't here
Where I'm from, there isn't an
ocean for miles;
and yet, each day, dozens of
seagulls flock
to the parking lot
at school.
I've spent so long wondering
why they continue to return --
there's nothing for them here.
Then again, I suppose we have
that much in common
