Aug 2014
as I walk amongst this silent path
hundred roses lined pretty in a row
the dew on their petals, are teardrops
from my eyes
each step taken, is a memory long ago
precious time remembered, heavy hearts
slow the pace
wishing all along I would catch a glimpse
a smile and a wink to satisfy my soul
yet the fragrance of the roses
is all that is left, to let me know
you are still here
so I'll say hello, as I always do
knowing you walk this path with me
always guiding me to you
you are part of my heart I won't
let leave
