He was larger than life,
gregarious & humorous,
he loved the culinary arts
& never missed a meal.
Everything he ate,
was way over the top.
Incessantly,
he would gorge on
all the rich foods,
cram his mouth full
of cheeses and sauces.
Cheesecake and cookies
were his favorite companions.
What delicious comfort foods.
They helped balloon up.
He reached almost
a quarter of a ton.
So, it was no surprise
when his heart finally gave out.
What was shocking
was how he was reduced
to such a small amount
of funeral ash.
