Moonlight proposition

by rachel-layne

I saw you in the moonlight That day you were smiling Glooming thoughts floated around my arm I returned to you But it wasn't you It was your shadow Your shadow looks at mine and says "If I could be anything, I would be candied cherries on top of your dreams" I fell I fell I fell In love Not with you but with my shadow I forgot what I looked like I saw my own beauty hidden under my other arm I placed my arms to the sky Looked up and quietly kissed you goodbye. The end.
