you know no matter how much trouble you gotten into
or how much you have went through
you WERE innocent
guilty of nothing
the only guilt you had was.... nothing
when you were small
you knew nothing about anything
you knew nothing about cars
except that they take you places
you knew nothing about adults
except that they never seem to know what you wanted
when you wanted it
you knew nothing about the outdoors
except that it was warm or cold
and on top of things
you did not know me
you knew nothing
which is why you were  innocent
you could stand tall
because you did not know you would fall
but shortly
too shortly for your parents
you grew of guilt
of everything under the sun and moon put together
but you are who you are
and so am i
