How persistent those thoughts that keep haunting me are
Tainting and shattering my glimpses of happiness
Uncontrollably surfacing with the worst possible timing
Breaking my spirit again and again
What I would do to forget those nightmares
Unfolding and replaying in pure consciousness
Those unwanted thoughts can't be cast away
I long for the day I can obliterate them all
Only then will I be free to love freely
