My New Xanax

I stutter

I shake

I sweat

Until this attack has passed

I fumble

I struggle

For breath

This one may be my last

You take hold

I breathe

I'm calm

Put my anxiety right to sleep

I need you

These pills

Were wrong

But you, my new Xanax, I'll keep
