You were once my best friend
We thought we would be friends,
till the very end.

Things began to change not for the better,
but for the worse.
Then eventually you started hanging with her more
and you started to forget me

Then it finally came,
the first drink of alcohol.
Then you finally forgot all about me

I still had to compete with your new best friend
The more alcohol you drank
The more damanaged our friendship became

I moved on,
I made new friends
But one thing was still missing,
that was you being my friend

But as long as your still friends with her
You and I can never be friends
That's your fault not mine.

I still wait for the call
But I know it will never come
The call is for another chance
The second time you won't be so lucky.
