Bowing Down, Pulling Down
I say sorry when fault is not mine
And speak thanks when not deserved
But now I come to think of it
Apologies and gratitude are to my ears never heard
Too quick to claim responsibility
Even if I have played no part
And not once do I point accusingly
Awaiting any confessions of the heart
So swift do they call me weak
To apparently bow down so far below
But in truth it is them who are trapped
By their weeds that continue to grow
