On a long dark path I lost my self
a feeling of dread overcame me.
a flash of light passed by me.
I was not alone.

Out of the corner of my eyes I saw you.
The one who ripped out my heart.
Piece by piece I put the small lonely shards back together.
Only to see you again.
Only to wish you weren't there.

I searched desperately for a way out of my madness.
I was lost, confused, and scared.
Wishing it would be over.
I closed my eyes as the tears formed around my eyes.

The wind blew my hair to the side.
The darkness started to disappear.
I opened my eyes and cleared my tears.
I was home.
