Festive Spirit

You all know how it feels,

To be loved,

You all know what it means,

To be in a family,

But I grew up in the streets,

I had never known my mother,

I had never heard of my father,

Only strangers are around,

And calling me all sorts of names,

But somebody told me it’s Christmas time,

Taking me to a place I now call home,

Promised me I won’t eat from the bins again,

But shall harvest some goodwill,

In the Spirit of the festive season,
