The Beauty

Have you seen the Beauty?

Not only to be found in a woman’s body

But in the way she smiles with her eyes

In her soft caress

The way she grips your hand at night

The Beauty is not only in a woman

The gentle breeze fluttering upon your face

The cool moistness of the morning dew

The welcoming warmth of the rising sun

The soft rain pattering on your back

The crackling thunder that ignites the night sky

The Beauty is the rose that grows in concrete

The soulful swaying of the trees

The soothing voices of the many birds

The palpable warmth of the summer night's breeze

The Beauty is not only in the elements

The tapestry of oranges that paint the dusk sky

The infinite hues of the ocean’s blue

The stunning greens of the rolling hills

The vivid whiteness of the stars and moon

But the Beauty is not only in colors

The Beauty is in you and me

And I hope that when you encounter Beauty

You will open your eyes and see
