I used to believe love conquered all.
That’s how I felt when you held me.
Promising to catch me should I fall
But you left me feeling empty.

I was your number one fan.
I couldn’t bear to see you fail.
You let go of my hand
So ready to leave and set sail.

I was crazy for thinking you were mine.
I was nothing more than a pretty lie.
Should seen the blinking sign
But you’ll never see me cry.

There’s one thing you should know.
Once I ran to you.
I believed I had nowhere to go.
Now I run from you.
