I knew this girl, I lived right next door to her I watched her everyday come home from school She would always skip home She had the biggest smile on her face; it lit up the whole world She would play with the neighborhood kids Light up their world with that smile She had an amazing smile But over the years, she stopped skipping home She stopped playing with the kids Worst of all, she stopped smiling She would walk up the driveway Tears in her eyes; a frown gracing her lips It darkened the world She never came outside Never smiled Never talked One day I never saw her again I found out she killed herself I saw her body, she had a smile on her face She was able to light up the world with that smile One last time
