I wish that I was someone who mattered.
maybe it’s because I don’t look up when I walk
or because I can’t think of anything witty or
insightful until it’s long past due,
but if I died tomorrow, I might get into heaven
because I was “a joy to have in class,”
but not for anything substantial.
I didn’t change the world.
I didn’t even change one person.
