Hope is something
I do not take lightly
It gives me a reason to be
So I fight for the right,
the right to believe
In the things my eyes cannot see

Dreams come, dreams go...but hope,
an intangible more precious than gold,
most assuredly lingers on stubbornly
I cannot discard it or disregard it,
a promise the world cannot sway,
a result of God's divinity

Hope is something
that does not die easily
It gives me a reason to breathe,
so I fight for the right,
the right to take flight,
and the right to believe
