I pray a silent prayer,
Asking God to take away my every care.
To remove my fears,
To stop my tears.
To hide my pain,
To wash it away in the rain.
To clear my head,
To let me sleep peacefully in bed.
To remove all my thoughts,
There's lots and lots.
Make me forget everything,
But not how to sing.
Do you hear my rhyme?,
Or am I just a waste of your time?
If you do reply,
Here I'll lie,
Now I'll stop to care,
As I end my silent prayer.
