It ages all things.
We measure and pretend to understand it.
Helps and hinders, stops and starts.
Speeds and slows, breaks and binds.
Ticks and trickles, dwindles and derives.
For some the most gifted blessing,
others a most horrifying curse.
If governs much of our universe,
from music to money, from dusk until dawn.
