The sound of brass
harmonizing and undulating
its warmth and harshness
all determined by each musicians mind
helped by a conductor,
and diminished by those who fail to see

The sound of strings
swelling, sad and triumphant
vibrations of comfort and tension
vibrato and dynamics combining to make perfection
bound by printed notes,
and allowed to deviate only slightly

The sound of piano
melodic and pulsating
hammers striking strings of the heart
limited by tuning and foot petals
tone defined by materials, major and minor
with beauty ever possible
