I can't say I've ever held your heartbeat in my hands and sung your soul to sleep
But I can certainly say I've thought about it
There's just something about you
The way you can laugh like there's nothing to lose
And then sob like there's nothing to live for
from the first time I looked you in the eye and I knew you would be the biggest mistake I'd ever make
Love was the water beneath the bridge so I closed my eyes and fell
Water always looks warmer from far away, heavy hearts aren't built to float
and I guess he's always been a little too good at letting go
My advice?
Don't jump until you're ready to spend your life at the bottom of the bay
And when you are ready, when you are 100% sure
Close your eyes,
Take a deep breath,
And fly.
Haven't you ever heard, the fun is in the fall.
