A bright red glow emerges above the trees
The light evokes a morbid curiosity in me
A primal instinct that draws me to the light
A house on fire, a house burning

The light evokes a morbid curiosity in me
We gather like flies to something that died
A house on fire, a house burning
“Was anyone inside? Anyone hurt?”

We gather like flies to something that died
Flames lick the walls as the roof falls in
“Was anyone hurt? Anyone inside?”
Despite the heat, I shiver

Flames lick the walls as the roof falls in
A primal instinct that draws me to the light
Despite the heat, I shiver
A bright red glow emerges above the trees
