You swore that any time I'd call your name
You'd part the swells to reach my side
But as the red sea's jaws unhinged to bare its teeth
Moses was swept beneath the tide

I followed your commandments
As they paved my path to hell
You harangue of love and mercy
But absolved no angels as they fell

The pastor preaches to the pulpit
A sultry sermon of weightless words
Sells salvation for the price he names
Voicing the will of God in slurs

Make a mantra of the Peace you seek
But bend and break with weight of sin
Contradicting every word you speak
Extorting fears the human heart contains within

Well I'm the calloused hand of God
I'm the righteous light of truth
Don't dare ye falter in your faith
Don't dare ye ask for proof

Take vengeance in my sacred name
Strip sacrilegious flesh from bone
But dare ye not take it in vain
For pride is my sinful vice, alone
