A single spark
Brought about in the dark
Sprung to life
Bringing me light

The heat upon my skin
And the flames burning bright
All through the night
While the stars in the sky keep turning

My home, so safe
Brought to soot and ash
Smoldering in rubble
By a great serpent from the north

Death from above
Wings of fright
All around me fire
Smoke in the wind

As I flee for my life
I turn towards the wreckage
And all that remains,
A flame in the night…
Another try at a bit of fantasy. Also a huge fan of Tolkien, inspiration from his writings for this.
