May 2014
whispering
about baseball
in an outskirts
bar

two men
and a woman
the two men
call roughneck

their six hands
curled
for what
won’t arrive
in the snout
of a terminally
ill
dog

all promising
to name boats
gently
after boys
as it’s not
about her, no

**** is not a ship.
