May 2014
We laugh, we smile
We stare in the far-off distance
Across a soft blue horizon
Across the bright mesmerizing gold
Of the nameless shores of infinity
Let’s stay here forever
Let’s stay here a while
You and I together
Can climb the hills of eternity
And swim the rough seas beyond finality
Can you hear the ocean waves?
They speak the voices of our souls
They sound just like oblivion
And you are my one-time companion
Painting the summer skies
With immaculate white clouds
Listening to ethereal angels sing
Dressed in heavenly shrouds

You are subtle and delicately sensual
And your glances are inviting and immortal
I give you eloquence in words
You whisper unforgettable songs
Knowing all too well
This love is brief and ephemeral

My grief will merge with glee
When all is said and done
When precious thoughts
Will fly and soar up high
In a vast and cosmic black sky
When my soul is blissful
And my heart is undone

My grief will merge with glee
Each and every time I'll reminisce
You, me and the sea
