May 2014
I have to confront my innermost thoughts
With intrepid strength and bravery
Yet their pessimism is flagrant
And seems to conspire against me

I have to visualize your impassioned ardour
And imagine you near
As I kiss your soft sensuous lips
And embrace all that I hold dear

I have to sleep sleepless nights
And dream vivid horrifying dreams
Wake up in a cold-sweat fever
As I navigate in the misty dark waters
Of desolate uninhabited streams

Illusion and its wild companions
Do not abandon me as I stray
In fantastic realms of inspired imaginings
That flood my mind
All throughout the day
