I will stay here the young man said
This is where my family came from
This is where I will start my own
This is the land I inherited
This is the land I will pass down

An old man heard him declare with such pride
with far to many drinks behind him
he knocked on his table and stood to speak

Go. Travel. and see the lands beyond your door
Stand at both shores of an ocean and say
I have heard the sky
I have seen the wind

And one step more will carry you farther than you’ve ever been

Pity those who stand at their door
And say I will stay here

The road only knows how far you can go
