and all at once my thoughts poured out-

a deep blue

swelling

burst into ink & went

crashing through morning like rampant tides,

enraged with the moon.
Wrote this a few months ago during my "morning pages," as suggested in The Artist's Way. I'm describing that beautiful moment when all of your thoughts and passion and heartache finally overflow onto paper. I had the image of my thoughts crashing out into poetry with the same intensity that waves break onto shore after swelling higher and higher until the ocean floor can't support it any more. Waves break harder when the ocean floor is deeper, and I paralleled this to the concept that people with more depth release their energy more intensely. I tried to allude to these images and ideas in my poem as simply as possible, let me know if there's a way I can strengthen it!
