Poems
May 2014
Lifespan
living vicariously,
a fly on the wall
observes its surroundings.
a predetermined life
of insignificant actions,
destined just to live and then to die
the fly on the floor,
now dead and gone.
memory faded, life forgotten.
a shattered body
and an empty mind –
reflecting the world through vacant eyes.
swept into a dustpan
broken and cold
but no more now than it was in life.
