Hindsight is another name for uncertainly blind
the doors of perceptions to our hearts they did bind
the illusions of grandeur went all but to waste
when stark reality stood right in my face

He looked familiar like i had seen him before, something had changed
perhaps he had to show more
Now i remember the shock put me aside
Under the grandeur even he couldn't hide

Last i saw you, you were happy and grinned
now you look soulless, empty and grim
perhaps at the time you were happy to be
or slightly more worrying you could not see

What was behind the sheet white veneer
a man made of evil that much is clear
I made my mistakes and i will be sure
never to cover instead of cure.

I saw my rights and never my wrongs,
good deeds nowhere, bad ones in throngs
but hindsight the monster that now lets me see
the monster behind, that once lived in me.
