Okay so this started out as a depressing poem on a night where I was in a really dark mood so I titled it "Depression." The next day in a totally different and more "positive" mood I realized that I could greatly change the poem's meaning with one word and "Snapped" was born. So I will post it with the option for the reader to choose. Look at that, Interactive Poetry. That's gotta be a first. Hope you all enjoy and thanks for the reads.

My life is a joke and I'm always broke
And happiness is a figure of speech
Every time I'm evoked they always provoke
I'm tired of listening to them preach
Twisting my brain they tap another vein
And continue to bleed me dry
Burying the pain my feelings detained
I wait for my turn to die
All of the while I'm cloaked with a smile
You're fooled by me being jest
When actually my style is quite really vile
Because I'm severely depressed
Another line crossed, another soul lost
I think someone tipped the scale
My sanity lost I will pay the cost
Just send me the bill in the mail
'Cause when all hope is gone the light will then dawn
On your egotistical head
That while you just yawned my pistol was drawn
It's your fault that now *I'm/you're
dead
Little things can make a big difference. ~ RR
