There was a place in time, we did not have to fear.  People had respect for one another; people were so dear.
There was a place in time, children safely had a place to play.  You can plainly see what's happening, in this area today.
There was a place in time, you could rely on your neighbor.  Today if you need any help, they tell you they are not able.
There was a place in time, when people walked to Church.  Today they find it hard to get out of bed, acting as if it hurts.
There was a place in time, when the family gathered, to sit down to eat.  Today they eat in any room, standing up on their feet.
There was a place in time, when we walked to School.  Today children ride the bus, breaking so many of the rules.
There was a place in time, when no one hardly got sick.  Today we deal with so many allergies, giving us a fit.
