Light

I dream to see this thing called light

It can come in bursts or a tiny ray

I’ve heard that it can change you on sight

For years I have been trapped in this night

I pray to see the glowing light of the day

I dream to see this thing called light

Every hour I fight

To believe the rumors they say

I’ve heard that it can change you on sight

Some think that it isn’t right

That the dark is where I should stay

But I dream to see this thing light

I no longer wish to be stuck in this fright,

To never see or play

I’ve heard that it can change you on sight

I have finally climbed this dark height

Able to see another way

I dream to see this thing called light

I’ve heard it can change you on sight
