Vernal Equinox

The snow has abated, But the sky remains white; The time of year I have awaited, When the snow geese take flight. They land and cover the newly thawed lake, Creating an alabaster sea. I watch and listen to the music they make, Absorbing this true beauty. The sun reaches its peak, Illuminating the downy white crests. I had no words; I could not speak. This artistry I have been blessed. I turn with a tear, It is my time to return. Until next year, Have a peaceful sojourn.
