Waking up this morning,
My half asleep eyes noticed
The trees outside my window.
They had picked this particular day
To start their buds to blooming!

Trees have blossomed this way,
Every Spring
For millions of years,
To continue their benevolent
Reign of beauty and grace
On Earth.

What are a few months time,
In the overall scheme of things,
That we have left to wait,
To see thy white blossoms blooming,
And smell thy sweet fragrance,
O daughter of the desert?
