When I was a baby, your protection I would need.
You taught me how to write, and even how to read.

When it comes to friends, you would be number one.
You have taught me a lot, and even made it fun.
There is no handbooks, and they don't tell you the rules.
But you did the best you could, with hardly any tools.

I know it is hard, to be a parent and a friend.
My love is always coming, in these letters that I send.
