I offer a story worthy of being told.
Your hand covers my mouth.
The world offers visions of opportunity.
Your hands cover my eyes.
The people who love me offer words of wisdom.
Your hands cover my ears.
I cannot speak.
I cannot see.
I cannot hear.
You cannot love.
I have a mind of my own again.
Your grip weakens.
The world has a place for me again.
Your hold fades.
The arms of the people who love me might open again.
Your hands fall.
Now I can speak.
Now I can see.
Now I can hear.
You cannot love.
