how can I be an optimist about this
when every day i feel like I'm trapped inside my own skin
my body is a cage made of bone
and no matter how hard I scream and cry
and throw my fists against the wall
and yell "how dare you, how dare you leave me like this"
I can't escape from my own reality
because my escape was you.
