It travels the speed of light
throughout the day and night
like a parasite looking for a new host
to infect and makes a person boast
when they learn, they brag
when they think they have swag

It travels from person to person
spreads and some will think it will worsen
helps some, and can hurt another
It can tell you that you have a brother

It can never die
even though people lie
It can fight through a language barrier
Just to make someone merrier.

It tells us our history
it could also be a mystery.
We receive it everyday
and we need it everyday.
