Trepidation
removing the '' If I could''
when I look at you
hoping you'd say
''I wish you would''
the scent of your being
lingers in my thoughts
eyes that hold my feelings
well into the night
for what do I say
to a beauty such as you
will my meaning go astray
rejection, that powerful fear
removing the ''If I could''
when I look at you
hoping you'd say
'' I wish you would''
