I have become so meek for you
So timid

I've lost my favorite parts of me.

And it's not a sign of dependence,
Nor even love,
But fear of being turned away.

I am this person.
Who you watched and gazed upon
For being so strong willed and persistent

And slowly I was forged into the shape of whatever you wanted.

I used to be someone I was proud of.
Now, I don't know.
