We are children of the day, and not of the night.  It takes all of you Lord, for us to do what's right.
We are children of the day, to show those who are of darkness a more clearer way.  Allow me to shine forth your light, each and everyday.
We are children of the day, opening blind eyes, so they can clearly see.  I do ask you Father, let your light be seen in me.
We are children of the day, like a city on a hill.  As I stick close to you, may your light in me be revealed.
We are children of the day, without you, our light cannot be seen.  As we shine forth your glory, forever keep us clean.
