Why Did I Bother

The girl who's not loved

But no one knows

She has a story

That's never told

Sometimes she laughs

Not that anyone cares

Maybe she smiles

But no one's aware

And every once in a while

She may steal a glance

At the beautiful boy

Who never gave her a chance

She'll think to herself

"I shouldn't have tried."

Because he's the cause

Of every tear she's cried
