When I was young
I saw
I smelled
I tasted
I touched
Felt
And heard

I truly lived

                                    I saw
                                    My grandma Francis
                                    Fallen bridge, and
                                    Bright green, wonderful trees

                                    I smelled
                                    Sweet Jell-O cookies
                                    Vanilla, and
                                    Fresh, Crisp laundry

                                    I tasted
                                    Horse treats
                                    Coarse dirt, and
                                    Spinach

                                    I felt
                                    Excitement
                                    My dog, and the
                                    Cool, soaking rain

                                     I heard
                                     Days of the New
                                     Nirvana,
                                     And Rage Against the Machine

I continue to truly live
