Mar 2014
The young hawk, held captive in her own nest,
Not yet allowed to test her fledgling wings,
Will soon soar, effortlessly, on thermals
Rising from the warming desert floor.

One day,  she will wing her way to distant lands,
Where her future mate awaits patiently,
Only for her,
Only for her!
